The Warren Blackwood Alliance of Councils (WBAC) is a Voluntary Regional Organisation of Councils representing the Shires of Boyup Brook, Bridgetown-Greenbushes, Donnybrook-Balingup, Manjimup and Nannup. The WBAC was formed in 2001 following the restructure of the timber industry to work as a collective body on issues affecting those areas in the Warren and Blackwood catchments.

The WBAC exists to help develop a prosperous and sustainable region in the Warren Blackwood and to improve the quality of life for residents in the area. The WBAC acts as an advocacy group by supporting or undertaking significant projects relating to promoting economic development and diversity and encouraging regional population growth.

Have Your Say: Regional Trails Strategy Survey Now Open
The WBAC is inviting residents, visitors, businesses, tourism operators, clubs, community organisations and trail users to help shape the future of trails across the region.

WBAC is currently developing a Regional Trails Strategy for the Shires of Boyup Brook, Bridgetown-Greenbushes, Donnybrook-Balingup, Manjimup and Nannup. The strategy will provide a long-term framework to guide the planning, development, maintenance, management and promotion of trails across the region.

The strategy will consider a broad range of trail experiences, including walking, hiking, mountain biking, gravel cycling, horse riding, paddling, four-wheel driving and other nature-based recreation opportunities.

Community feedback is essential to ensure the strategy reflects the needs, priorities and aspirations of local communities, visitors, businesses and trail users. Whether you currently use trails regularly, occasionally or would like to see new opportunities developed in the future, we encourage you to have your say.

The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and will remain open until Thursday 23 July 2026.
